Job summary

Erdrich Umformtechnik GmbH is seeking experienced personnel to perform die and tooling changeovers on production equipment and prep machines to ensure smooth runs. You will verify setups meet quality targets, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with maintenance, quality, and leadership to reduce downtime.

The role emphasizes manual dexterity, reading blueprints, and operating overhead cranes and forklifts safely, with opportunities to train others and advance into leadership tracks.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in manufacturing, stamping, metal forming, tooling, maintenance, or setup.
• Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring equipment.
• Solid mechanical troubleshooting ability.
• Familiarity with SAP or manufacturing/production systems (plus).

Responsibilities

• Perform die and tooling changeovers on production equipment.
• Prep machines and tooling so runs start smoothly.
• Confirm setups hit quality requirements and production goals.
• Hunt down setup-related issues and reduce downtime.
• Use overhead cranes and forklifts safely during changeovers.
• Read and apply setup sheets, blueprints, work instructions, and production documents.
• Collaborate daily with production, maintenance, quality, and plant leadership.
• Suggest improvements that cut setup time and raise productivity.
• Help train operators and other setup personnel.
• Uphold 7S, safety, and housekeeping standards.
