Job summary

Kratos Unmanned Aerial Systems (KUAS), a division of Kratos Defense, designs and supports high‑performance jet‑powered unmanned systems for defense applications. This Tool Design Engineer role focuses on tooling to optimize manufacturing, including fixtures, jigs, and molds, across multiple levels.

Responsibilities cover CAD documentation, GD&T, lean manufacturing integration, and coordination with engineering, suppliers, and customers to meet schedules and cost targets.

Qualifications

• Requires a related BS degree in Engineering or Manufacturing.
• Minimum of 6 years related experience (4 yrs with Masters).
• Proficient in CAD drafting and 3D modeling; Catia/3Dx preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize tooling to facilitate manufacturing processes.
• Lead tool design tasks with minimal oversight at higher levels.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and suppliers.
