Job summary

Kratos Defense & Security Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Tool Design Engineer to design tooling that supports manufacturing and engineering. Responsibilities include creating CNC fixtures, jigs, and molds using CAD tools like Catia/3DX, applying GD&T, and contributing to cost‑reduction programs.

Qualifications

• Proficient in CAD to design tooling models and drawings.
• GD&T knowledge with tolerance analysis.
• Lean manufacturing and Design for Manufacturing awareness.
• Experience with PLM and configuration control is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop tools to facilitate manufacturing processes.
• Create tooling models using CAD (Catia/3DX preferred).
• Apply GD&T and tolerance analyses to ensure practical tool designs.
• Lead small task groups and mentor junior engineers.
