Job summary

Vitesse Systems, LLC in Harbor City, California, seeks a Tool Crib Technician for a temporary role with potential to convert to full-time. You will ensure the tool crib is stocked and ready for machining, manage inventories, and assist CNC operators with maintenance and setup.

The position requires standing, lifting up to 50 lbs, and precise handling of tools and measuring instruments. Experience with shop tools and inventory tasks is preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or GED.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office for inventory tasks.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal in English.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods and lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the organization and preparation of tools for machining.
• Operate vertical bandsaw to prepare raw material per instructions.
• Maintain inventory of tool holders, cutting tools, fixtures, and raw material.
• Work with inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers, height gauges and microscopes.
• Purchase and re-stock cutting tools and raw material based on safety stock policies.
• Assist CNC operators with machine maintenance such as monitoring oil and coolant levels, removing shavings and cleaning machine enclosures.
• Occasional related work assignments such as operating milling machines and lathes
• Other duties as assigned
