Job summary

Lusk Quality Machine Products in Palmdale, CA is seeking a Tool Crib Attendant / Tooling Technician to keep tooling organized, available, and ready before each job. You will support machinists by managing cutters, inserts, holders, collets, and supplies in a fast-paced CNC shop.

The role emphasizes accuracy, inventory control, and readiness for production, with training available and opportunities for growth within a family-owned manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of manufacturing or machine shop experience preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Comfortable using computers for inventory tracking.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and organize the tool crib.
• Issue and receive cutting tools, inserts, holders, collets, and shop supplies.
• Maintain tooling inventory and reorder consumables.
• Assemble and preset tooling for upcoming machine setups.
• Verify tooling is complete, clean, and production ready.
• Coordinate with setup machinists and supervisors to prepare upcoming jobs.
• Receive, inspect, and stock incoming tooling and supplies.
• Label and organize tooling for quick identification and retrieval.
• Monitor tooling wear and identify damaged tooling.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Support production with additional shop duties as needed.
