Bolsan, Inc. seeks a skilled Tool and Die Maker in California to perform self-setups and machine or grind components for multiple manufacturing lines. The role requires reading blueprints, using precision measuring tools, and maintaining a clean work area.

Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in tool making within a manufacturing facility is required, with strong knowledge of shop math and inspection instruments.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in shop math required.
• Ability to read blueprints is essential.
• Experience using micrometers, calipers, and comparators.

Responsabilités

• Set up and machine/grind components for tool and die tasks.
• Repair header tools and fabricate header tool components.
• Work with carbide, hardened tool steels, dies and cutting tools to close tolerance.
• Operate mills, lathes, surface grinders, hones, and fixtures.
• Apply shop math as required.
• Keep work area clean and organized.

Under general supervision and according to established policy and procedures the tool and die maker is responsible for performing his/her own set-ups and machine/grind all necessary components required to complete assignments given to support all manufacturing product lines.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

• Strong understanding of slip and press fit relationships.
• Repair Header tools and make complete header tool components.
• Work with carbide, hardened tool steels, dies and cutting tools to close tolerance.
• Work with mills, lathes, surface grinders, hones, and fixtures.
• Use shop math as required.
• Clean and maintain the work area.

Skills and Formal Training Requirements/Experience

• Shop math
• Must be able to read blueprints.
• Use measuring instruments (i.e., micrometers, calipers, comparators).
• Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience as a tool maker for a manufacturing facility.
