Job summary

Bolsan is seeking a tool and die maker to perform own set-ups and grind components for multiple manufacturing product lines. The role requires reading blueprints, using precision measuring tools, and maintaining close tolerances with carbide and hardened steels.

Job description

Under general supervision and according to established policy and procedures the tool and die maker is responsible for performing his/her own set-ups and machine/grind all necessary components required to complete assignments given to support all manufacturing product lines.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

• Strong understanding of slip and press fit relationships.
• Repair Header tools and make complete header tool components.
• Work with carbide, hardened tool steels, dies and cutting tools to close tolerance.
• Work with mills, lathes, surface grinders, hones and fixtures.
• Use shop math as required.
• Clean and maintain the work area.
