Job summary

Amazon is seeking a TOM Technician to support and troubleshoot yard and gate technologies within the North America Transportation Operations Management team. You will handle computer hardware, operating systems, and software used by field teams, with responsibilities including testing, deployment, and process improvements.

The role requires hands-on hardware experience, strong organizational skills, and the ability to travel up to 50% within a 50-mile radius from the home location.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent diploma.
• 2+ years of computer hardware experience.
• 1+ years of corporate Windows, Mac or Linux operating systems support experience.

Responsibilities

• Align with operations to diagnose non-working tools and fix accordingly.
• Take ownership of TOM gate and yard systems and approved tools.
• Provide tech support for yard technologies such as ALPR and related tools.
• Monitor system performance and identify deviations from standard work.
• Pilot test updates and implement new hardware, software, and instrumentation.
• Identify process improvements for yard and gate tech to increase efficiency.
