Job summary

HDR, Inc. is seeking a Tolling Project Manager within the Advanced Technologies for Surface Transportation group in Maryland. You will lead toll systems and roadside projects, develop system requirements, and manage scopes, schedules and budgets for tolling initiatives.

You will mentor junior staff, support business development, and collaborate with clients and FHWA/State DOTs to deliver resilient, safe and efficient tolling solutions across multiple regions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field required or equivalent.
• 7+ years of experience in tolling, systems, or revenue collection.
• Minimum 2 years of project management experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee toll systems and toll technology projects from planning to operations.
• Develop roadside and back‑office system requirements, specifications, and performance metrics.
• Manage scopes, cost estimates, procurement documents, and contracts.
• Support design‑build procurement and program management for toll work elements.
• Lead system integration plans, testing procedures, and commissioning documents.
