Job summary

HDR, Inc. is seeking an experienced Transportation ITS Engineer to lead tolling system design and related ITS projects in the Florida region.

You will work within HDR's Advanced Technologies for Surface Transportation group on a range of tolling, ITS and traffic engineering assignments for diverse clients. You will develop plans, specifications and analyses, coordinate with field staff, and contribute to standards, QA, and client relations.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required in engineering or related field.
Minimum of 10 years' ITS and traffic engineering experience.
Professional Engineer (PE) license recognized by licensing board (PE or P.Eng).
Knowledge of regulations for state and federal transportation agencies.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and traffic engineering software.
Experience with HCS, CORSIM, Synchro/SIM Traffic and similar tools.
Strong oral and written communication skills and teamwork.

Responsibilities

Lead development of technical documents, reports, plans, specifications and presentations.
Design tolling concepts, requirements, specifications and performance metrics.
Review tolling projects and solutions.
Develop PS&E design packages for toll systems and HOT/Express Lanes."
Support field data collection and ITS project implementation.
Contribute to national ITS standards and traffic management projects.
Assist with toll-related data reconciliation across systems and vendors.
Support business processes improvements and QA reviews.
Develop HDR office transportation programs and act as technical expert.
