Job summary

The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission is seeking a seasoned supervisor to oversee civil installation, rehabilitation, and maintenance of toll systems. You will lead field activities, inspect facilities, and coordinate repair work with contractors and internal teams to keep toll operations safe and efficient.

This role requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and a proven ability to manage projects, budgets, and schedules while maintaining compliance with standards and safety requirements.

Qualifications

• Eight (8) years of experience in construction inspection/quality assurance.
• Or four (4) years with a bachelor’s degree; equivalent education/experience may be accepted.

Responsibilities

• Supervises, plans, and organizes the work of internal and external staff including performance management and assignment review.
• Supervises inspections of tolling facilities and construction sites for compliance with contracts, PM schedules, and standards.
• Liaises between contractors and internal personnel regarding toll systems and facilities for escalated issues.
• Monitors daily reports, automated systems, and cameras to identify live issues and coordinate corrective actions.
• Plans and coordinates preventive maintenance and equipment failures to ensure operational availability; may approve lane closures.
• Reviews cost estimates vs actuals, and supports changes to protect schedule and contract compliance.
