Preschool Teacher – Toddler Classroom

Age Group: Toddler (Ages 12 months to 2 years)

Employment Type: Full‑Time | On‑Site

Hourly Rate: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour | Based on education and experience

Discovery Isle Preschool is seeking an experienced, passionate, and driven Preschool Teacher to lead our Toddler classroom at our premier preschool in Poway, CA. What You’ll Do:

• Oversee daily classroom operations and ensure full compliance with state licensing regulations.
• Design and implement thoughtful and intentional lessons in a classroom setting that encourage student growth and development.
• Build meaningful relationships with families and create a welcoming school culture.
• Participate collaboratively and professionally with other teachers and staff.

What We’re Looking For:

• 12 Core ECE Units in Early Childhood EducationOR an awarded CDA in the assigned age group.
  • Infant and toddler substitute teachers will be required to have 3 Infant Toddler ECE Units completed OR an awarded CDA in Infant and Toddler.
• A minimum of 6 months of teaching experience in a licensed preschool or early childhood center.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
• The ability to often carry and lift 25 pounds or less and occasionally carry 25‑50 pounds.
