Job summary

Discovery Isle Preschool in Carlsbad, CA, is seeking a dedicated full-time Pre-K Closing Teacher to inspire curiosity and foster a love of learning in young children. You will create engaging, hands-on lessons that prepare students for kindergarten, build strong relationships with families, and support each child’s social, emotional, and academic growth.

The position runs from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required with 12 Core ECE Units or CDA in Preschool.
• Minimum 6 months teaching experience in a licensed preschool or early childhood center.
• Must be 18+ and authorized to work in the United States.

Job description

Discovery Isle Preschool is seeking an enthusiastic full-time Pre‑K Closing Teacher to join our growing preschool community! Our goal is to inspire curiosity, independence, and a lifelong love of learning in every child.

As a Pre‑K Teacher, you’ll have the opportunity to:

• Create an engaging classroom where children can explore, question, and discover.
• Design hands‑on lessons that prepare students for kindergarten and beyond.
• Foster strong relationships with families through communication and collaboration.
• Support each child’s social, emotional, and academic growth.
• Must be available to work 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old and have an awarded High School Diploma or GED and have one of the following:
  • Completed 12 Core ECE Units
  • Have a valid Child Development Associate (CDA) in Preschool.
• 6 months of teaching experience in a licensed preschool or early childhood center.
• A nurturing personality with patience, flexibility, and a genuine love for working with babies.
• Authorization to work in the United States.
