Job summary

Food Lion is seeking a Store Front End Manager for the Saint George location to oversee Food Lion To Go operations and front-end service. You will hire, train and lead department associates while driving customer satisfaction and store performance.

You will partner with department managers, manage scheduling, control expenses, ensure safety and food safety standards, and model our guiding principles. This role requires strong leadership and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to lead and manage a team.
• Strong understanding of store operations and merchandising techniques preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Ability to use technical information to solve problems.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions.
• Must be accredited by a food safety program or complete training; accreditation maintained.

Responsibilities

• Manage Food Lion To Go operations; hire, train and develop department associates.
• Supervise duties of department associates and conduct performance appraisals.
• Maintain schedules to meet online order traffic and minimize customer inconvenience.
• Lead store team to reflect Guiding Principles and drive core values.
• Support budgeting and financial/operating results.
• Coordinate with department managers to handle fresh orders and stock issues.
• Ensure proper handling of returned-to-stock items, especially refrigerated goods.
• Provide excellent customer service and suggest solutions meeting expectations.
• Control expenses via ordering and equipment care.
• Understand scheduling, sales, wage percent, interviewing, training and reporting.
• Ensure safety, food safety, sanitation standards are met.
• Complete CBT, training packets, and courses.
• Recognize accomplishments and provide constructive feedback.
• Meet physical requirements with or without accommodations.
