Job summary

Food Lion in Pasadena, MD is seeking a dedicated Front End / To Go operations leader to oversee all aspects of Food Lion To Go services. You will hire, train and develop frontline associates while ensuring exceptional service and efficient order fulfillment.

You will collaborate with department managers, manage schedules, monitor performance, and drive customer satisfaction and store profitability, aligning with Food Lion's guiding principles and safety standards.

Qualifications

• A high school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to lead and manage a team.
• Strong understanding of store operations and merchandising techniques preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions.
• Certification as Food Safety Manager or willingness to obtain within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Food Lion To Go operations, including hiring, training and developing department associates.
• Supervise performance and conduct timely formal appraisals for direct reports.
• Maintain effective work schedules to meet online order demands.
• Provide leadership to promote a culture aligned with guiding principles and values.
• Support budgeted financial and operating results.
• Coordinate with department managers to ensure fresh orders and handle out-of-stock items.
• Ensure proper handling of return-to-stock items, especially perishable goods.
• Demonstrate exceptional customer service and problem-solving for shoppers.
• Control store expenses through ordering, supplies, and equipment care.
