Job summary

HDR is seeking a strategic Environmental Lead for the TMT sector to guide environmental planning, permitting, and regulatory compliance for data centers and telecom infrastructure. You will lead cross-functional teams, engage major clients, and advance HDR's position in global markets.

With 10+ years of leadership in environmental programs and a strong track record in permitting, you will drive strategic growth, mentor staff, and collaborate across regions to deliver compliant, timely projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10+ years of experience leading environmental planning, permitting, and regulatory programs for major infrastructure projects.
• Bachelor's degree in environmental planning, engineering, or closely related field; advanced degrees preferred.
• Strong knowledge of site development, zoning, occupancy approvals, and construction permitting.

Responsibilities

• Lead environmental planning, permitting, and regulatory programs for data centers and digital infrastructure.
• Develop and implement permitting strategies to accelerate project delivery while ensuring compliance.
• Build senior-level client relationships and support business development and pursuit activities.
• Mentor environmental professionals and coordinate across regions and disciplines.
• Promote HDR's environmental practice and deliver high-quality, integrated solutions.
