Job summary

Vera French Community Mental Health Center is seeking a TMS Coordinator to support Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation services under physician supervision. Responsibilities include coordinating appointments, communicating with staff, and assisting the psychiatrist with TMS procedures in a clinical setting.

The role requires 2+ years in mental health/medical management, proficiency with computers and EMR, and the ability to operate medical devices.

Qualifications

• Two years or more of mental health and medical management experience.
• LPN preferred.
• Demonstrated computer skills, including Microsoft Office and EMR data entry.
• Experience addressing patient medical conditions and basic life support certification.
• Experience operating a medical device.

JOIN OUR TEAM!

Under direct supervision of a physician, the TMS Coordinator assists Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation patients in receiving the prescribed treatments according to established procedures and protocols. The TMS Coordinator also performs scheduling of services, offers approved education and guidance for treatment-related questions and serves as the liaison and representative for Vera French TMS to outside persons requesting information.

What You'll Do

• Facilitate the flow of patients through the office or clinic, perform reminder calls, and communicate internally as appropriate to coordinate services
• Assist the psychiatrist with TMS threshold mapping clinical procedures
• Document patient treatment history, record vital signs and allergies/contraindications as needed
• Operate the TMS equipment in accordance with training, certification, and according to the prescribed treatment and established procedures and protocols

What You'll Need

• Two years or more of mental health and medical management experience
• LPN Preferred
• Demonstrated computer skills, including but not limited to Microsoft Office (Word & Excel), electronic medication and medical records data entry
• Experience addressing any patient's medical conditions or symptoms, including basic life support certification
• Experience with operating a medical/mechanical device

Other Requirements

• Must carry a valid driver's license and have current automobile insurance in accordance with Vera French policy.
• All Vera French employees that transport a Vera French client in his/her personal vehicle must also have a D-3 Chauffeur's License.
• Ability to pass pre-employment physical, drug, and alcohol screening
