Job summary

Kapsch TrafficCom is seeking a TMC Dispatcher/Operator to support Kansas City Scout in Lee’s Summit, Missouri. You will monitor traffic via CCTV and ATMS software, dispatch emergency responders, and coordinate with agencies to restore normal traffic flow.

The role requires a high school diploma, strong communication skills, and proficient data entry with MS Office. On-site work with a comprehensive benefits package is offered.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong listening, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Detail oriented with ability to multi-task.
• Proficient with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Access).
• Ability to quickly enter real-time data and assess situations.
• Experience with dispatch or CAD systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Create and post messages for Dynamic Message Signs (DMS).
• View traffic conditions on CCTV and monitor status across events.
• Coordinate with emergency services and responders.
• Dispatch emergency and motorist assistance units as needed.
• Maintain accurate incident and traffic-related records.
