Job summary

The South Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles seeks a Titling & Licensing Specialist in Rock Hill to handle driver licenses, registrations, and related customer service tasks. You will process documents, assist business customers, verify eligibility, and perform knowledge tests while ensuring accuracy and compliance with state policies.

You’ll use SCDMV software and camera systems, manage fees, and support daily operations in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent plus clerical experience.
• Must complete CDL knowledge tests and trainer course and examination.
• Must pass nationwide background check with fingerprints.

Responsibilities

• Examine, accept, prepare, enter and print documents for licenses, permits and titles.
• Manage business customers such as banks, lienholders and dealerships for licensing needs.
• Process motor vehicle registrations and verify eligibility per SC laws.
• Administer knowledge tests for various driver licenses.
• Verify eye screening and review applications for fraud or license restrictions.
• Handle payments and issue receipts; reconcile daily reports and donations.
