Job summary

The South Carolina DMV in Spartanburg, SC is seeking a Titling & Licensing Specialist III to examine, issue and print documents for licenses, registrations, titles and related services.

You will work with banks, dealerships and other customers, verify identity, conduct knowledge tests for CDL classes, apply policies, collect fees and maintain records; relocation within 30 miles may be required.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent plus clerical experience.
• CDL test examiner trainer course and examination required before certifying CDL tests.
• Nationwide criminal background check including fingerprints.
• Ability to retain DMV policies and explain procedures to customers.
• Willingness to relocate within 30 miles if required.

Responsibilities

• Examine, accept, prepare, issue and print documents for licenses, permits, titles and registrations.
• Handle business customer needs with licensing and insurance coordination.
• Process motor vehicle registrations and verify eligibility per SC laws and DMV policies.
• Administer CDL knowledge tests and verify eye screening in line with policy.
• Collect fees, reconcile daily reports, and maintain accurate transaction records and receipts.
• Provide customer service, guide customers to appropriate offices, and operate required hardware.
