Job summary

Galbreath Costner, LLC is seeking a Title Reviewer to assess risks in real estate transactions by examining records, deeds and title documents to ensure clear ownership.

You will coordinate with attorneys, lenders and escrow officers, resolve title issues, and support the closing process. Strong research, attention to detail, and clear communication are essential. Experience with title software is valued.

Qualifications

• Solid understanding of real estate, mortgage lending and property law.
• Proficiency with computer software relevant to title processing.
• Experience with title software systems and databases.

Responsibilities

• Document Review: Review and interpret legal documents, such as contracts, deeds, surveys, and easements, to extract pertinent information for the title report.
• Title Document Preparation: Preparing preliminary opinions/Title Commitments based on information received from title examinations/title summaries; conducting thorough review of property titles to identify issues.
• Title Insurance Coordination: Work with title insurance companies and underwriters to address concerns or requirements; provide information necessary for policy issuance.
• Title Clearance: Assist in resolving title issues, such as liens, encumbrances, or legal restrictions, to ensure a clear and marketable title.
• Communication: Interact with internal team members, escrow officers, attorneys, and stakeholders to provide updates on the title process.
• Coordination with Other Professionals: Collaborate with escrow officers, real estate attorneys, and other professionals; maintain organized records of transactions.
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws and regulations related to real estate transactions and title processing.
• Quality Control: Implement quality control measures to maintain accuracy in title examinations and underwriting decisions; review work of others.
