Job summary

Galbreath Costner, LLC is seeking Title Reviewers to assess and mitigate risks in property titles across diverse real estate transactions. You will examine historical records and legal documents to ensure clear ownership and highlight issues impacting closings.

The role supports clients, lenders and attorneys with precise research and clear communication. This position may be remote, in-office, or hybrid as determined by management and reviewer performance.

Qualifications

• Solid understanding of real estate, mortgage lending and property law.
• Proficiency with computer software relevant to title processing.
• Experience with title software systems and databases.

Responsibilities

• Review and interpret legal documents to extract information for the title report.
• Identify discrepancies or irregularities that may affect the title.
• Prepare preliminary opinions/Title Commitments based on title examinations.
• Review property titles for issues and discrepancies.
• Review public records, deeds, mortgages, tax bills, plats and related documents.
• Enter data into production software and validate its accuracy.
• Coordinate with title insurance companies and underwriters for policy issuance.
• Assist in resolving title issues to ensure a clear title.
• Communicate with internal teams, escrow officers and attorneys on progress.
• Coordinate with escrow officers and real estate attorneys involved in transactions.
• Maintain accurate records of transactions and title documents.
• Ensure compliance with local, state and federal real estate laws.
• Implement quality control measures and review colleagues’ work.
