Qualifications

• Solid understanding of real estate, mortgage lending and property law.
• Familiar with title processing software and databases.
• Experience with title software systems and databases.

Responsibilities

• Review and interpret legal documents to extract information for the title report.
• Identify discrepancies or irregularities that may affect the title.
• Prepare preliminary opinions/Title Commitments based on examinations.
• Review titles to identify issues or discrepancies.
• Coordinate with title insurance companies and underwriters for policy issuance.
• Assist in resolving title issues, such as liens or encumbrances.
• Communicate updates with internal teams, escrow officers and attorneys.
• Maintain accurate records of transactions and title documents.
• Ensure compliance with real estate laws and regulations.
• Quality control of title examinations and underwriting decisions.
