Base pay range

$17.00/hr - $21.00/hr

Corporate Settlement Solutions provides real estate settlement services to lenders, realtors, buyers, and sellers across multiple states. We are recruiting for a remote Title Product Specialist (Title Commitment Typist). This role involves using real estate title search documentation to prepare insured title commitments, primarily in Michigan, with potential in other states. It offers a collaborative environment and growth opportunities within the valuation team.

Job Responsibilities

• Produce final title commitments using vendor-provided title search documentation efficiently and accurately.
• Input search data into software to create title products.
• Calculate title insurance rates.
• Review work for accuracy before submission.
• Update and revise title products as needed, including markup for final policies.
• Respond promptly to underwriting or examination questions.
• Assist team members with issue resolution related to titles.
• Develop knowledge of title product requirements.
• Collaborate positively within the Title Services team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of experience in purchase and refinance commitment typing.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or higher.
• 3+ years of relevant experience in Michigan.

Skills & Abilities

• Knowledge of and experience with creating title insurance commitments.
• Ability to work with legal descriptions and title search notes.
• Minimum two years of office data entry experience with high accuracy.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and adaptability to new software.
• Strong teamwork, customer service skills, and attention to detail.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

• Prolonged sitting and computer work.
• Ability to lift up to 15 pounds.
• Occasional travel and independent navigation skills.
