Cox Automotive is seeking an entry-level Title Specialist I in the United States to support title processing and compliance. You will learn state regulations, verify titles, VINs, odometer readings, and complete documentation.

In this day-shift role, you will interact with customers and dealers, process records in title management systems, and help ensure accurate and timely title resolutions. The position offers structured training and opportunities within Cox Automotive's title operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Generally less than 2 years of related experience.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Effective communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Examine vehicle titles for accuracy, completeness, and conformity with state requirements.
• Verify VINs, odometer readings, lien releases, negotiability, and alterations.
• Maintain working knowledge of DMV laws and titling regulations across multiple states.
• Identify, assess, and report potential title discrepancies or fraud.
• Resolve title issues through interaction with customers, dealers, lenders, and regulatory agencies.
• Communicate professionally regarding outstanding titles, required documentation, and resolution timelines.
• Support negotiation and resolution of title-related sale issues when needed.
• Update and maintain accurate records in title management systems and internal platforms.
• Process exception queues, outstanding title reports, and aging titles.
• Perform audits, documentation tracking, and reporting as required.
• Support sale-day and post-sale title activities as assigned.
• Demonstrate commitment to safety by following all procedures and modeling safe behaviors.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
