Job summary

The Community College of Allegheny County is seeking a Project Director for the Reach Title III Grant. This grant-funded, full-time position in Academic Affairs directs the Title III program, ensures compliance with federal requirements, and leads planning, assessment, and reporting.

The role oversees day-to-day support for the division, supervises staff, coordinates with partners, and advances strategic initiatives including development of program components and sustainability beyond the grant

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in humanities, mathematics, and/or social sciences or related field.
  • Five years' supervision, fiscal and project management experience.
  • Experience with diverse backgrounds.
  • Experience with college‑level developmental education.
  • Previous higher education experience advising or teaching students preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and oversee a Title III Steering Committee to guide project implementation.
  • Create bi‑monthly sharing reports identifying integration of REACH grant initiatives into the institution and communicate project implementation to entire College community.
  • Participate in committees to embed program components throughout CCAC.
  • Responsible for the oversight and management of project funds to ensure all expenditures are based on the proposed project and support the outcomes that were proposed and approved by the funding agency.
  • Provide direct supervision of the full‑time and part‑time REACH staff.
  • Work with project partners in collaboration with the staff to ensure programmatic and fiscal contractual obligations support the overall mission of the project.
  • Manage and monitor overall progress of the project, including project financial information and implementation timelines for project activities.
  • Coordinate the reporting process and prepare cumulative performance and assist with financial reports for submission to the funding agency in collaboration with the Office of Sponsored Programs and Research.
  • Create, review and approve contract documents with existing partners and stakeholder organizations as necessary in collaboration with CCAC Administration officials.
  • Maintain accurate and accessible project repository for the organization of all project documentation relating to fiscal and contractual responsibilities in collaboration with the Office of Sponsored Programs and Research.
  • Work on programmatic design that facilitates sustainability of the program after the expiration of grant funding and investigate additional grant funding opportunities to enhance project goals and outcomes in in collaboration with the Office of Sponsored Programs and Research.
  • Collaborate with CCAC Institutional Research Department to collect data for reporting and participant tracking.
  • Ensure all needed data is collected and performance reporting requirements are met on time.
  • Attend meetings as scheduled and serve on college committees related to grant project.
  • Additional programmatic/financial/administrative duties as assigned or as required.
