We are looking for a motivated and detail-driven professional to support title review and examination functions within foreclosure and real estate operations. This position plays a critical role in researching public records, reviewing title documents, and ensuring accurate identification of issues affecting property ownership and lien priority.
Responsibilities
- Assist with title review and title examination, including searching public records to determine the legal condition of real property
- Review and analyze deeds, mortgages, liens, judgments, tax records, and other instruments affecting title
- Determine tax status and identify any delinquent or outstanding tax obligations
- Review condominium and homeowners’ association documentation, when applicable
- Identify and summarize encumbrances, defects, senior interests, and title curative issues
- Support foreclosure actions, including identifying proper parties and assisting with title-related foreclosure requirements
- Provide title support for Deed in Lieu and REO files, including document review and issue identification
- Assist examiners and attorneys with miscellaneous title research and resolution tasks
- Summarize findings and advise internal teams and/or clients on the legal condition of the property
- Perform accurate data entry of title findings into company systems
- Meet daily productivity and quality expectations
Requirements
- Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in title examination, title review, or title-related paralegal work
- Strong working knowledge of legal documents affecting real property and how they are recorded or become liens
- Experience using ATIDS (required)
- Typing proficiency and strong attention to detail
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and internet-based research tools
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume environment
- Foreclosure title experience preferred, but not required
