Job summary

Robertson, Anschutz, Schneid, Crane & Partners, PLLC, a national law firm focused on creditors’ rights and real estate matters, seeks a Title Examiner to join our Title Department in Boca Raton. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and is detail-oriented, organized, and collaborative.

You will examine title reports, identify defendants and notice recipients, and work with online tools to locate title defects and metes and bounds descriptions, contributing to high-stakes

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of title examination experience is required, preferably in mortgage foreclosure.
  • Superior organizational and time management skills, attention to detail, and efficiency.
  • Experience using PDF applications such as Adobe Acrobat and eCopy to markup title reports.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience performing paperless title examinations.

Responsibilities

  • Examine title reports provided by third party search vendors for mortgage foreclosure transactions.
  • Identify necessary Defendants to a judicial mortgage foreclosure action.
  • Identify parties required to receive notice of a non-judicial foreclosure action.
  • Identify superior interests, title defects and title curative issues.
  • Utilize online search portals for in-house tax and title searches.
  • Plot metes and bounds legal descriptions using online tools.
  • Use online websites to obtain aerial views of the subject property.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Multi-state examination experience, preferably in some or all of the following states: CA, DE, GA, KY, IL, MD, NC, OH, SC, TN, TX, MI and VA
