Job summary

Emerald Energy and Exploration Land Company is seeking experienced Title Examiner/Abstractors in Texas. The role involves researching public records, examining titles, and preparing abstracts with summaries of all matters affecting ownership.

You will interpret deeds and related documents and complete title acquisition packages while traveling to courthouses across the state. Candidates should have 2+ years of title experience; mineral title experience is a plus, and a Real Estate License is

Qualifications

• 2+ years of title experience required.
• Mineral title experience a plus.
• Real estate license a plus; acquisition experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Research public records and examine titles to determine the legal condition of property titles.
• Compile chains of title and prepare abstracts with summaries of recorded matters.
• Interpret deeds, easements, plats, leases, court actions, probates and other docs affecting ownership.
• Prepare title acquisitions packages and title commitments.
• Identify title defects and draft related correspondence and opinions.
• Travel across Texas to various courthouses as needed.

Emerald Energy and Exploration Land Company, one of the fastest-growing land management and acquisition agencies in the country, is currently accepting applications for experienced Title Examiner/Abstractors in Texas.

Here are some of the things you'll be doing:

• Research public records and examine titles to determine the legal condition of property title
• Knowledge of researching public records
• Ability to compile and prepare chains of title, and make abstracts of title with summaries of all matters and instruments of record
• Interpret deeds, easements, plats, leases, court actions, probates, and other documents impacting property ownership
• Complete documents that include title acquisition packages and title commitments
• Identify possible title defects, prepare title-related correspondence based on searches, opinion letters, title evidence, and prior policies

Here's what we are looking for:

• Strong computer skills and ability to use Microsoft Office Suite, flow chart software, and deed plotting software
• Excellent communication skills: verbal, written, and interpersonal
• Self-discipline and motivation to perform tasks independently
• Ability to work under strict deadlinesAbility to travel throughout the state to various courthouses
• 2+ years of title experience, mineral experience a plus
• Experience completing complex mineral title
• Real Estate License a plus
• Acquisition experience a plus
