Emerald Energy and Exploration Land Company is seeking experienced Title Examiners/Abstractors to join our team in Kentucky. You will research public records, examine titles, and prepare chains of title with summaries of all matter recorded.

You will interpret deeds, easements, plats, leases, and court actions to determine ownership and prepare title documentation. The successful candidate will have 5+ years of title experience, including mineral titles, strong computer skills, and the ability

Responsibilities

• Research public records and examine titles to determine the legal condition of property title
• Knowledge of researching public records
• Compile and prepare chains of title, and make abstracts of title with summaries of all matters and instruments of record
• Interpret deeds, easements, plats, leases, court actions, probates, and other documents impacting property ownership
• Complete documents that include title acquisition packages and title commitments
• Identify possible title defects, prepare title-related correspondence based on searches, opinion letters, title evidence, and prior policies

Emerald Energy and Exploration Land Company, one of the fastest-growing land management and acquisition agencies in the country, is currently accepting applications for experienced Title Examiner/Abstractors in Kentucky.

Here are some of the things you'll be doing:

• Research public records and examine titles to determine the legal condition of property title
• Knowledge of researching public records
• Ability to compile and prepare chains of title, and make abstracts of title with summaries of all matters and instruments of record
• Interpret deeds, easements, plats, leases, court actions, probates, and other documents impacting property ownership

Here's what we are looking for:

• Strong computer skills and ability to use Microsoft Office Suite, flow chart software, and deed plotting software
• Excellent communication skills: verbal, written, and interpersonal
• Self-discipline and motivation to perform tasks independently
• Ability to work under strict deadlines
• Ability to travel throughout the state to various courthouses
• 5+ years of title experience
• Experience completing complex mineral title
• Real Estate License a plus
• Acquisition experience preferred
