Tire Technician (Maintenance)

Get with Spiffy and go mobile! Are you an automotive enthusiast with tire experience looking to expand your horizons in the mobile industry? As a Mobile Tire Technician, you will travel to different designated sites in a fully equipped company van performing tire services such as inspections, repairs, rotations, and balancing to ensure vehicle optimization. Must be willing to work in ALL weather conditions. If you prefer a temperature-controlled environment, this job may not be ideal for you.

WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU?

• SHIFT: 8am-6pm with Weekend Availability
• Competitive starting base rate of $18/hr, paid weekly
• $1/hr increase after 90 days based on performance

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

• Ensure proper mounting, balancing, and alignment on various vehicle makes and models, adhering to manufacturer's specifications and guidelines.
• Diagnose and repair tire issues such as punctures, leaks, and tread wear. Perform tire patching, plugging, and repairs.
• Conduct thorough inspections of tires and related components such as wear and tear, alignment issues, and overall vehicle safety.
• Operate tire-changing machines, balancers, and other relevant equipment safely and efficiently.
• Ensure proper disposal of old tires.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, explaining services, and recommending additional maintenance.
• Keep abreast of industry trends and best practices.
• Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and uphold company reputation.
• Adhere to safety protocols and environmental regulations.
• Assist with other automotive service tasks as needed.

WHAT ARE THE QUALIFICATIONS?

• Must be 18+ with a valid driver's license and the ability to drive.
• Willing to work in all weather conditions.
• Team player, hardworking, honest, reliable, and timely.
• Basic computer and math skills; tech-savvy with a smartphone.
• Ability to lift and move items up to 50 lbs.
• Attention to detail and high-quality workmanship.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Physical stamina for extended periods of standing, bending, and moving around vehicles.
• Willingness to learn new technologies.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

EXPERIENCE THAT'S A PLUS

• Previous tire technician experience with various vehicle makes/models.
• Experience with oil changes and lube services, especially in fleet or quick lube environments.
• Experience working in all weather conditions, e.g., construction, HVAC.
