Hoosier Racing Tire, Plymouth, IN, is seeking a Tire Engineer Intern to join our Product Development Team. You will analyze testing data, enhance internal tools, and assist with research on materials, performance, and competitor products, while gaining hands-on exposure to new technologies and R&D projects.

Qualifications

• Full-time student enrolled in undergraduate or graduate Mechanical Engineering or related STEM as of Fall 2027.
• GPA 3.0 or higher; unofficial transcripts required at application.
• Experience with 2D/3D design software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
• Proficient in MS Excel (macros, pivots, VBA) and Power BI.
• Strong communication skills; reliable and responsible to complete tasks; commute to Plymouth, IN.

Responsabilités

• Support data investigations focused on tire constructions, materials, and performance characteristics.
• Analyze and optimize existing R&D tools for reliability and improvement.
• Assist in tire construction analyses to identify improvements in performance, cost, and efficiency.
• Review and interpret data from indoor and outdoor tire testing programs.
• Support the development of digital solutions that enhance cross-departmental collaboration (e.g., scheduling, tire testing workflows).
• Develop new tools that improve data evaluation, visualization, and reporting capabilities.
• Support the Product Development team with the implementation and validation of various technical tasks.
• Assist R&D Management with high-priority items by providing rapid analyses, summaries, and targeted data investigations.
