Job summary

HEI Hotels & Resorts is seeking a friendly, guest-focused server for our Tapatio Springs Hill Country Resort in Texas. You will greet guests, take and relay orders, input them into POS, and ensure accuracy while delivering beverages and meals with a smile.

You will upsell desserts and specialty drinks, maintain station cleanliness, and uphold alcohol-service policies. A strong team-player attitude and reliable attendance are essential.

Qualifications

• Maintains professional appearance and courteous demeanor.
• Willing to pitch-in and help coworkers as part of a team.
• Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation, service standards, guest relations and etiquette.
• Knowledge of table settings, service ware and menu items.
• Ability to remember and promote various menu items.
• Ability to transport up to 30 lbs and operate beverage/toast equipment.

Responsibilities

• Check station before, during and after shift for setup and cleanliness.
• Greet guests courteously and explain specials/promotions.
• Record and confirm guest orders for accuracy.
• Input orders into POS system for kitchen processing.
• Deliver orders to guests and provide condiments as needed.
• Replenish beverages and assist with dessert items or specialty coffees.
• Close out checks and process payments.
• Adhere to all state and corporate policies relating to alcohol service.
• Maintain attendance and reliability; perform other duties as assigned.
