Job summary

Kansas State University’s Division of Human Resources seeks a Time and Leave System Specialist to support the universal timekeeping system, FMLA, and university leave programs. This role liaises between Benefits and Time & Leave teams to implement system improvements and ensure payroll data integrity in ADP Workforce Manager.

Hybrid and/or remote eligible; requires a high school diploma with 3 years of relevant experience (Bachelor’s in HR preferred).

• Requires a high school diploma (or equivalent) and three years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor's Degree in HR or related field preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
• Excellent organizational skills required.
• Ability to determine priorities, exercise sound judgement, and work independently.
• Willingness to learn new software, develop additional skills, and engage in professional development.
• Ability to exercise discretion and uphold confidentiality.
• Demonstrated knowledge of HR processes and policies.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the universal timekeeping system.
• Serve as system support specialist in ADP Workforce Manager.
• Provide front-line support to timekeepers and departments, resolving system and pay issues.
• Verify data reports in ADP Workforce Manager for payroll processing.
• Coordinate with departments when timesheets will be locked for submission.
• Troubleshoot system-related errors.
• Collaborate with Time and Leave Manager; participate in ADP training.
• Assist FMLA leave from notice to return, focusing on straightforward cases.
• Track legal leave hours across programs in ADP Workforce Manager.
• Monitor return-to-work dates and assist with employee scheduling.
• Upload leave documentation to digital files.
• Review FMLA case data for reporting and analytics.
• Interpret KS leave programs and KS State University policies.
• Help develop updated processes with a new timekeeping system.
