The Tile Shop is hiring a sales associate in our New York store to proactively greet customers, educate on installation and product use, and develop lasting relationships while aiming to exceed personal sales goals.

With a draw plus commission plan, the first-year earnings potential ranges from $45,000 to $75,000. The role emphasizes a strong design sense, teamwork, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while delivering exceptional customer service.

Qualifications

• Strong work ethic and drive to exceed expectations
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build customer relationships
• Experience in commission-based sales environments a plus
• Willingness to learn and grow from feedback
• Professional presentation at all times
• Strong design sense across styles, colors and textures
• Basic math and computer skills for processing orders
• Read, write and speak English proficiently

Responsibilities

• Proactively greet customers professionally
• Develop lasting customer relationships by treating customers with courtesy
• Conduct follow-up customer communication
• Sell tile and related products to exceed customer expectations
• Understand installation and use of all products to educate customers
• Understand and track established individual sales goals
• Track store orders and provide customers with product updates
• Present yourself in a professional manner at all times
• Other duties as assigned
