Job summary

OPW Clean Energy Solutions is seeking an onsite Welder in Minnesota. The role welds pipe and structural pieces per drawings, using arc, TIG, and submerged arc processes. Candidates should have at least 3 years of related experience and a technical background.

Responsibilities include layout, fitting, welding, and final assembly, with inspection of bead size and weld quality. Candidates must be able to weld in 6G position when required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; technical school preferred.
• 3+ years related experience and/or training.

Responsibilities

• Selects equipment and plans layout, assembles, and welds.
• Lays out, positions, aligns, and fits components together.
• Fabricates from sketches, blueprints or instruction.
• Sets up equipment and welds parts using arc, GTAW‑ARC (TIG), submerged arc, or other welding process.
• Repairs/reworks products; disassembles and reassembles parts.
• Examines weld for bead size and specs; checks fit-up before welding.
• Welds along vertical or overhead lines; grinds excess weld.
• Assembles spool pieces into final assemblies per drawings.
