Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Tier II Network Technician to support customer data communications systems, design specs, testing, and upgrades. You will analyze hardware/software solutions and model networks to ensure optimal performance.

The role involves installing and maintaining LAN/WAN devices, responding to incidents, drafting changes, and assisting Tier III engineers on projects. Travel up to 20% and flexible hours are required.

Qualifications

• Requires TS/SCI CI Poly clearance and 10 years of combined work history and education.
• DoD 8140 IAT Level 2 compliance.
• Willing to travel up to 20% and work flexible hours, including weekends.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain client LAN/WAN devices and related infrastructure.
• Respond to incidents, troubleshoot, and communicate with the team.
• Draft and implement standard network change requests.
• Support Tier III network engineers on incidents and projects.
• Perform configuration management: update topology drawings, asset records, and inventory.
• Coordinate network operations, maintenance, repairs, or upgrades (Cisco/Juniper RMA).
• Experience with Layer 1/2/3 networking concepts and IOS upgrades on Cisco/Juniper/Brocade/Foundry OS.
