Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Tier II Network Technician to design, test, and upgrade computer networks, and to support network operations for DoD-related systems in Dayton, OH. The role involves installing LAN/WAN hardware, performing incident response, and coordinating changes with Tier III engineers.

Ideal candidates bring deep TCP/IP knowledge, CISCO/Juniper experience, and familiarity with Visio, ServiceNow, and Confluence. Expect 5 days on-site, travel up to 25%, and a TS/SCI with Poly clearance.

Qualifications

• Requires TS/SCI with Poly clearance.
• Minimum 10 years of combined work history and education.
• Must meet DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 requirements.
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP and OSI models.
• Fundamental routing knowledge.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.
• On-site presence at designated location (no relocation).

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain client LAN/WAN devices.
• Respond to incident tickets and resolve issues.
• Draft and implement standard network changes.
• Assist Tier III engineers on projects and site surveys.
• Update topology drawings and asset records.
• Coordinate network ops, maintenance, repairs, or upgrades.
• Work with Cisco, Juniper, and other vendor equipment.
• Familiar with Layer 3 protocols and common network tools.
