Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) is seeking a Linux/Microsoft Systems Administrator to join our team in support of a Federal Intelligence Agency contract. This role focuses on Tier II support for maintaining large Enterprise environments across Windows and RHEL in a hybrid setup.

Candidates must have 5+ years of related experience, a Top Secret SCI + Polygraph clearance, and DoD IA certification (prefer Security+ CE).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience.
• 5+ years of related systems administration experience.
• TS/SCI with Polygraph is required.
• Must attain the required DoD 8570 CE Training within six months of Hire Date.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting application functionality, crash and performance.
• Investigate user performance and work with external teams to improve user experience.
• Assist customers with Tier 2 incident resolution for Linux and Windows applications.
• Provide remote end user desktop support.
• Identify, analyze, and resolve system incidents with short-term workarounds and long-term solutions; respond to escalated service desk requests.
• Communicate effectively with a variety of individuals in both small and large team environments.
