The role requires hands-on experience with monitoring tools such as Nagios, PRTG, NOM, and Wireshark, plus scripting in Python/PowerShell. Strong TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN knowledge is essential. Office presence 5 days/week at customer site.

Qualifications

• Total of 12 years of applicable experience required, as a blend of degree and work history.
• Strong understanding of network protocols, architecture, and technologies (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).
• Hands-on troubleshooting and performance optimization for networks.
• Proficiency with network monitoring and management tools (NOM, Nagios, PRTG, Wireshark).
• Scripting skills in Python, PowerShell, or Bash for automation and integration.
• Familiarity with automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.

Responsibilities

• Configure, upgrade, and patch network monitoring and management tools.
• Monitor network performance, analyze traffic, and manage alerts for anomalies.
• Maintain up-to-date inventory of network hardware/software assets and licenses.
• Document changes to inventory and ensure real-time updates.
• Collaborate with engineers and IT teams to meet inventory needs.
• Create and maintain SOPs and documentation.
