Job summary

Peraton is seeking Tier 2 Platform Support Engineers to provide expert technical support for enterprise users, development environments, and shared services. You will handle escalated incidents, analyze issues in GitLab/CI/CD, cloud environments, and Kubernetes, and coordinate with specialized teams to restore service.

Ideal candidates combine strong troubleshooting with customer-focused communication, a TS/SCI clearance with CI polygraph, and 3–5 years in enterprise IT or DevOps support.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph.
• 3–5 years of enterprise IT support, platform operations, DevOps or similar.
• Linux administration and basic cloud/container troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, IAM, networking, and Kubernetes concepts.
• Experience with IT service-management or ticketing systems.
• Strong troubleshooting, customer-service, communication, and technical documentation.
• Ability to follow procedures, prioritize requests, and resolve incidents.
• Willingness to work scheduled shifts and participate in on‑call activities.

Responsibilities

• Resolve platform incidents and service requests escalated from Tier 1 support.
• Troubleshoot GitLab, CI/CD pipelines, developer tools, and shared platform services.
• Investigate identity/access and basic cloud/Kubernetes issues.
• Perform initial technical analysis and remediation to restore service.
• Communicate incident status and resolutions to users and stakeholders.
• Follow operational procedures and security requirements.
