Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Tier 2 Platform Support Engineer to provide expert technical support for enterprise platform users, development environments, and shared services. You will handle incidents escalated from Tier 1, troubleshoot GitLab CI/CD pipelines, and coordinate with IAM, DevSecOps, cloud, and network teams.

The ideal candidate has Linux and cloud/container experience, strong troubleshooting, and customer-service skills.

Qualifications

Active TS/SCI clearance.
3–5 years in enterprise IT support, platform operations, or related field.
Working knowledge of Linux and cloud/containers troubleshooting.
Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, IAM, networking, and Kubernetes.
Experience using IT service-management or ticketing systems.
Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
Able to follow procedures and manage incidents through resolution.
Willingness to work shifts and on-call as required.

Responsibilities

Resolve platform incidents and service requests escalated from Tier 1.
Troubleshoot issues with GitLab, CI/CD pipelines, developer tools, and platform services.
Investigate IAM, basic cloud and Kubernetes issues as per Tier 2 procedures.
Perform initial technical analysis, determine remediation, and restore service.
Communicate status, steps, and resolutions to users and stakeholders.
Follow established procedures and security requirements.
