Job summary

The Children's Museum Houston is seeking a Box Office Associate to ensure smooth daily ticket sales, visitor services, and cash handling at the museum entrance. This part-time role supports memberships, events, and cross-training with other staff to keep the box office organized and efficient.

You should be customer-service oriented, able to work weekends and evenings, bilingual Spanish preferred, and comfortable working independently while assisting with daily reporting and membership input.

Qualifications

• Previous box office experience a plus.
• Bi-lingual preferred (Spanish).
• Must be able to work weekends and evenings.
• Ability to commit to no less than 15 and no more than 30 hours a week.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors; answer questions, solve problems.
• Conduct sales of museum admission tickets as well as tickets to special events and performances as required.
• Reconcile individual cash drawers daily and submit to the Admissions Supervisor for final approval.
• Promote the sale of museum memberships and other special programs.
• Assist with cross-training of the other staff members in the box office as needed
• Help maintain the organization of box office area.
• Request supplies from box office supervisor as needed.
• Input membership information into membership database and assist membership department with mailings and events as needed.
