Job summary

The Texas Education Agency (TEA) invites applications for the Teacher Incentive Allotment System Development Specialist. The role supports districts in designing, applying for, expanding, and renewing TIA local designation systems, helping teachers access pathway to six-figure salaries.

The position reports to the TIA Student Growth and Assessment Manager and requires up to 10% travel. Flexible work location within Texas may be considered for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university.
• At least 4 years of experience in education or policy.
• An advanced degree may substitute for two years of required experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and contribute to the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of TIA local designation systems.
• Manage vendor partnerships to promote best practices and statewide implementation.
• Contribute to the annual process for evaluating locally developed teacher designation system applications.
• Design and promote resources to support optional components and local requirements within TIA systems.
