Job summary

Sylvania seeks a districtwide instructional leader to coordinate and provide leadership for the Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA). You will support professional growth of teachers through planning, modeling, coaching, and data analysis across content areas.

Responsibilities include planning and delivering professional development aligned to campus and individual needs, acting as staff developer and curriculum specialist to improve teaching with technology and high-impact practices.

Qualifications

Job description

Primary Purpose:

Coordinate and provide leadership for the Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA) and support the professional growth and development of teachers districtwide. Facilitate teachers' learning and independent application of effective instructional technology practices through planning, modeling, co-teaching, coaching, training, and data analysis across all content areas. Plan and deliver professional development aligned to identified campus, building, and/or individual teacher needs. Serve as a districtwide staff developer, instructional technology leader, and curriculum specialist, supporting the effective integration of technology and high-impact instructional practices to improve teaching and learning.

Qualifications:

Education/Certification:

• Master’s degree or higher from an accredited university in Education or related field,
• Texas Teaching certificate - Required

Special Knowledge/Skills:

• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to implement and interpret policy, procedures, and data
• Ability to coordinate, plan and implement state/district initiatives
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Ability to seek resources and solutions to effectively solve problem
• Understanding of data management and office file management
• Advance skills in data platforms (Excel, Google Sheets, or similar)
• Familiarity with EMAT platform
• Knowledge in research, statistics, analysis methods and techniques, planning programs and
• processes
• Knowledge in budgetary development practices and procedures
• Knowledge in principles and practices of effective project management and leadership.

Experience:

• 3 years of experience in a leadership position
• 3 years of experience in a teaching position
