Job summary

Houston ISD is seeking a Data Systems Coordinator 2 for Performance Management TI to design, implement, and validate district data systems supporting the Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA) program. You will ensure growth measures, eligibility determinations, and funding projections are accurate, scalable, and TEA compliant.

The role involves building data pipelines, developing growth models for tested and non-tested subjects, and maintaining TEA-ready documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in a quantitative field; master’s preferred.
• Experience with data systems, PEIMS, TEA reporting, or district accountability is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain longitudinal datasets across student and teacher data.
• Build automated data pipelines for STAAR, EOC, PEIMS, assessments, and HR data.
• Produce documentation of metrics, methodologies, and business rules.
• Support TEA submissions with data exports and validation checks.
• Develop and validate student growth and designation models.
• Create dashboards for eligibility tracking and readiness monitoring.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Data Science, Economics, Education Research, or related field
