Job summary

The Salvation Army USA Western Territory is seeking a Sales Associate/Merchandise Handler at the Old Pasadena Thrift Store. You will greet customers and donors, assist with purchases, stock merchandise, and help maintain a clean, organized sales floor and donation area.

Responsibilities include handling POS transactions, complying with policies, and supporting store operations. Part-time positions with flexible shifts, benefits, and opportunities for growth are available.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Must pass background check, including Criminal History and Sex Offender Registry.
• Ability to communicate effectively with management, fellow store employees, customers and donors.

Responsibilities

• Greeting customers and donors and providing prompt, courteous assistance.
• Stocking priced items ready to be merchandised on the sales floor.
• Maintain store and donation area cleanliness and organization; perform cleaning duties as assigned by Management.
• Follow POS/Cash Register Policies per TSA policies and procedures.
• Maintain safety and compliance standards.
• Attend monthly store meetings.
• Receive, unload, and stock incoming inventory items accurately and efficiently.
• Provide quality assurance by inspecting products for defects.
• Assist donors in removing items and provide receipts.
