Job summary

The Salvation Army USA Western Territory seeks a part-time Sales Associate/Merchandise Handler for the Victorville thrift store. You will greet customers, assist donors, stock merchandise, and help maintain a clean, organized store.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Must be able to accurately handle POS/Cash Register operations and cash transactions.
• Must pass background check (Criminal History and Sex Offender Registry).
• Ability to communicate effectively with management, store staff, customers and donors.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly greeting and prompt, courteous assistance to customers and donors.
• Stock priced items for the sales floor.
• Maintain store and donation area cleanliness and organization; perform cleaning duties as assigned.
• Follow POS/Cash Register policies in line with TSA guidelines.
• Maintain safety and compliance standards.
• Attend monthly store meetings.
• Receive, unload, and stock incoming inventory.
• Inspect products for defects and damages.
• Assist donors with removing donated items from vehicles and provide receipts.
• Sort donated materials into proper containers and stack as instructed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
