Job summary

The Salvation Army USA Western Territory is seeking a SALES ASSOCIATE/MATERIAL HANDLER in our CA Thrift Store. This part-time position supports the Retail team by delivering friendly customer service, processing donations, stocking merchandise, and maintaining an orderly sales floor.

Typical duties include operating the cash register, assisting donors, and ensuring store standards are met. Flexible scheduling, including weekends and holidays, is required.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Must be able to operate POS/Cash Register.
• Must pass background check, including Criminal History and Sex Offender Registry.
• Ability to communicate effectively with management, fellow store employees, customers and donors.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and donors and provide prompt, courteous assistance.
• Stock priced items on the sales floor per TSA standards.
• Sort donations for processing according to TSA standards.
• Maintain store cleanliness and organization; perform cleaning tasks as directed.
• Operate cash wrap area and assist with receiving, unloading and stocking inventory.
