Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking Modeling & Simulation Systems Engineers for the Space sector in Colorado Springs, CO. You will join the Threat Systems Engineering team, delivering high-fidelity threat models to support the BMDS and MDA programs, with responsibilities spanning model generation, validation, and documentation.

Ideal candidates hold a STEM degree and an active DoD Secret clearance, with MATLAB, Python, and LaTeX experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD from an accredited institution.
• Majored in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or related STEM field.
• Active U.S. Government Secret security clearance at time of application required.
• Ability to obtain Special Access Program within a reasonable period.
• Experience with MATLAB, Python, and/or LaTex.
• Strong knowledge of ballistic missile flight characteristics.

Responsibilities

• Modeling and simulation of systems’ kinematics within the TSE framework.
• Develop ballistic and hypersonic threat models for modeling tools and frameworks.
• Prepare documentation for running threat data in Ground Test architectures.
